Stribrna is located in a resort town in the region of Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. The starting point of the architects was to build a contemporary home weekend. Of the original house is only a stone basement, which now serves as the basis for a concrete slab that supports the cantilevered parts of the new house. The surface of the facade is made of untreated larch, while the roof is covered with sheets of tin.
The interior materials have been used to ensure low power consumption and logistical needs have been prioritized. “We use the open dissemination system in our buildings, increasingly applied because it is beneficial to both the indoor climate and for their security.” For the support structure of wooden building using the KVH, one of the highest quality wood available today. This is a dried, planed and well prepared.

The openings are facing the access road, towards the north, and adjacent to the river to the south. This design gives privacy to nearby houses while providing an incredible view of river. Almost the whole house (except, for example, the fireplace) has been provided by local companies and contractors. Most of the furniture has been designed exclusively for this project. The time of construction, including furniture, was extended three months and a half.
