Concept Masterplan Milan Expo 2015
The Concept Masterplan for the Expo 2015 was introduced last September 8 at Palazzo Reale of Milan. The project, designed by the architects Stefano Boeri, Richard Burdett, Mark Rylander and Jacques Herzog will deliver the challenge accepted by Milan focused on the theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” that the ‘Expo 2015 intends to propose’ attention world.
The project includes a large botanical garden as a global meeting place between agriculture and cities that nourish Milan in all possible ways: spiritual, architectural, intellectual, literal. Each nation can recreate the greenhouse available, its microclimate on one side and a great “dining table” on the other, all in the context of a “botanical garden planet” of over one million square meters with a fairway .
