After the article I read on Designboom I can say that the architecture (note the capital A!) has no boundaries. The American study of Berkeley, Faulders Studio, Exceeded the spatial dimensions in the design of an extension outside of a private home in San Francisco.

Located in one of the best parts of the city, nela area outside the house there is a large tree that the owners, in the work of outplacement, did not want to break down. The architect Thom Faulders decided to create an installation that simulates a gravity model by using a texture, as seen from the photos, gives the impression of “sucking” the tree. Although this is a 2D model in plan has the effect that around the base of the tree trunk the ground sinks.

Very interesting studies that have played behind this project and I would say that the result is really good. This shows how visual perception is more important than how things really are, a topic studied since the ancient Greeks (sharpening to make them look more slender columns) that still has not lost the interest of many architects and designers, including this project, “deformscape.
