Edge House by Jarmund - Vigsnæs AS Architects

House designed by The Edge Jarmund / Vigsnæs AS Architectsfor a young couple, was built in Kolbotn, a suburb south of Oslo, and the couple, even when they have a meager budget, he wanted to have a truly spectacular home in which “looked like it could make a film of James Bond.”

The couple bought a plot so terribly difficult for the construction of their house because it has eight vertical meters from the access road, but precisely in order to fulfill the wish of the young couple, the building was moved to the eastern perimeter of the ground and suspended above the slope on thin steel columns.

Detail is the stairway, which rises along the slope through the house to the floor. Nuomerose Using architectural strategies, the manufacturer, as well as being able to successfully hide the technical links of the scale is able to save the natural characteristics of soil, thus being able to make a game drammtico between the volume and shape of the building as opposed to the land itself. Of great importance is surely the inside, covered with birch plywood, which was placed horizontally around the cut for the entrance staircase (note the bedrooms and bathroom located along a real corridor).
