Hotel Green Friendhouse in Ukraine
An ecological hotel has been built not only with environmental criteria, but also aesthetically designed to convey his philosophy of sustainability: both its inspiration rounded stone as the use of crude and natural materials in furniture and decorations that reinforce old idea that not only have to be, but also be seen.
Friendhouse is an eco-hotel in the middle of a forest along the Orel River, 30 km from Dnepropertrovsk in Ukraine. His ecological philosophy has resulted in a resort-style structure in which several “little cottages” are installed in the middle of a place more or less wild. But in this case, the ecology of the hotel looks authentic: it has been designed with environmental criteria and have used only organic and natural materials such as clay, wood and reeds in its construction. All lights and furniture is also designed with sustainability criteria for the occasion by the same architects of Ryntovt.
The rooms are made of wood and clay shaped cocoon, overlaps with patios, terraces, gardens and parks covering a total area of 1,750 m2. All buildings have joined with a continuous cover of wood and reeds that unifies the small bungalows while allowing their intercommunication with the forest, the river, the environment and landscape. The hotel even has a garden of apple trees: a legend of the place good farmers urged to invite their guests twice, one during the flowering trees in spring and again in the summer to pick apples and ripe.
