Lamp-hourglass Vanessa Hordies

Presented last week during “Stockholm Furniture Fair” this “Night Night” is a fascinating review of a very classical hourglass created by Vanessa Hordies, Graduated from the designer ECAL Lausanne. A bedside lamp that works like an hourglass in which the light becomes progressively dimmer, and is covered by sand. The prototype consists of a wooden base containing the electrical system and a glass structure containing the source of light and sand. When you turn the hourglass, the timer on for 15 minutes: the average time for people to sleep, as research studies. The timer function is precisely to turn the lamp, so that is not lit all night, saving energy and accompanying the moment of rest.
