Modern estate from Wallace Harrison
This site is an American architect Wallace K. Harrison, bought at the top of Long Island in the early 30′s to build their own home. However, due to lack of funds for his own project, Harrison bought for $ 1000 House Alyumineyr (Aluminaire House), Who became the first building on the site. Later the house was not only a place of architectural exploration Harrison with circular shapes (round living room, dining room, Pool and even cover the tracks), but also a meeting place for artists of the time – in the house there were Alexander Calder, Marc Chagall, Mary Callery, Robert Moses and Le Corbusier. Currently, the estate is fully restored and rebuilt by SchappacherWhite with the requirements of the 21 st century, but with preservation of the main findings of Harrison.
