Occupies a small hill within the natural landscape of the Douro Valley, where the project is located. An area of terrain and smooth edges, designed almost entirely to wine production and livestock. The intention of architects, from the outset has been to recall and emphasize these pre-existing, contextualize them, place them and relate them to eventually integrate the project. The project plans to build a winery producing unique and limited in the same vineyards of the property.
Is located at the top of the wineries called Pay, which provides shelter against frost and great views, is embedded in the far southwest, in an arid area and dysfunctional that forms a gap of four meters. Around fields of vineyards blend with pine trees. The strategy has been to build on the slope of the plot to bury part of the building and out the south wall, higher limit, creating a multifunctional plaza surrounded by vegetation.
