The 2.5-compact design with a 4.5-meter-house features 80 layers of loosely stacked blocks of pine – the configuration that allows for ventilation space. Wood wall taper towards the top to form a chimney. Inside, the main features of the house is an open fireplace, and just opened separately from the chimney, is the entrance, complete with a curved double sliding doors. This wooden house design in Skjaermveien Barnehage, Trondheim is a social hotspot, designed by the Norwegian architectural firm, based in Oslo Haugen / Zohar Arkitekter. Created to gather, talk and laugh before the open hearth, hearth home is inspired by traditional cottage Norwegi peat and old wood construction.
